Delete account
This page explains how to delete your Seoli account, what data is removed, what may remain for legal or technical reasons, and how to contact us if you cannot access the app.
Before deleting: if you have an active App Store subscription, deleting your Seoli account does not automatically cancel that subscription. Manage cancellations through your Apple account settings.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the Seoli app.
- Go to Profile.
- Open Edit Profile.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion request in the confirmation prompt.
Once confirmed, Seoli begins deleting your authentication record and account-linked user data.
What we delete
- Your Seoli authentication account, including anonymous or linked Apple/Google access to Seoli.
- Your user profile and onboarding data stored in our app database.
- Settings and preferences, including notification preferences and associated messaging tokens.
- Story progress, endings, branch history, earned XP, streaks, gem balance, battery state, and language-learning records stored with your account.
- Story chat history, sub-chat data, and related account-linked conversation records stored by the service.
- Service-side purchase records stored in our Firestore database and linked to your Seoli account.
What may remain
- Apple purchase and subscription records maintained by Apple under Apple's own policies and legal obligations.
- Analytics, financial, fraud-prevention, security, legal, audit, and operational logs that we need to retain for legitimate business or legal reasons.
- Third-party provider records that are controlled by those providers, including infrastructure, AI, messaging, or billing systems.
- Local device cache or backups that may persist temporarily until the app is removed, the device cache is cleared, or system backups expire.
Deletion timing
In-app deletion is initiated immediately after confirmation. Backend cleanup normally starts automatically as part of the account deletion workflow. Some downstream systems, cached copies, or retained legal records may take longer to clear or may be kept where the law allows or requires.
If you cannot access the app
Email crafanic@gmail.com with a description of your request and enough information for us to verify the account. We may ask for reasonable verification before processing a manual deletion request. We aim to respond within a reasonable period and, where required by law, within the applicable statutory timeline.
